(Bourbonnais, IL) -- The "Chicago Sun-Times" reports that Bears star Devin Hester is holding out of training camp. According to the paper, Hester officially became a contract holdout when he didn't show up for today's practice. Hester has two years left on a four-year deal he signed in 2006.

>>Childress Leaving Hawks To Play In Greece

(Atlanta, GA) -- Swingman Josh Childress is leaving the Hawks to play with the Greek franchise Olympiakos. The "Atlanta Journal-Constitution" reports Childress spurned a five-year offer from Atlanta to agree to a three-year deal to play overseas. The paper did not have exact financial terms of the deal.

(Chicago, IL) -- Carlos Quentin homered twice and knocked in four as the White Sox rallied for a 10-8 win over the Rangers. Jim Thome [[ TOE-me ]] smacked a three-run for the White Sox, who scored five times in the eighth inning to take the rubber match of the three-game set.

>>Yankees Drop Twins For Sixth Straight Win

(Bronx, NY) -- Mike Mussina twirled eight scoreless innings as the Yankees knocked off the Twins 5-1. Mussina struck out seven and didn't walk a batter to notch his 13th victory of the season. New York swept the three-game series and has won six in-a-row overall.

(L'Alpe-D'Huez, France) -- Spain's Carlos Sastre grabbed the overall lead at the Tour de France by winning the 17th stage of the event today. Sastre took the yellow jersey from Frank Schleck, who is now one minute and 24 seconds behind Sastre in the overall standings.
